hello,

we had a good wash in a lake this morning - well needed, particularly after getting stuck in the mud last night. We got out (after some minor kippering) just before the mozzies cam out to play.

The truck in running ok, but starting to sound quite comical, squeaking and banging lots. The roof rack needs constant attention. We have fixed the fuel leak (for now). The fix involved gaffer tape you\'ll be pleased to know.

We are getting properly stared at in disbelief by everyone we pass, we even had paople taking pictures of us at a petrol station yesterday - i thought we were the tourists....

Everyone is pretty friendly here in Kaz, we haven\'t had any shit of the police here (yet) which is good. Most people speak Russian, which makes thing easy and the farmers don\'t get too upset when you get stuck in their fields.

Heading for the border tomorrow for some more fun and games. Looking forward to the Eclipse on the 1st, which we hope to see from Mongolia.

yeah, this place is wicked. love the fact you can just drive off the road [pretty much] much wherever you like and just slap you tent up. no-one around, so much space... just awesome.

really excited about the eclipse, can't wait to get into mongolia but very much enjoying taking our time thru kaz and really feeling like i'm here.

what a laugh

ps. yeah, i fucked up and stuck us in the mud proper style, too much sideways action on that move - oops! only too an hour to get out...
